Utah Attorney Suspended From Practice of Law in Wyoming
CHEYENNE–The Wyoming State Bar announced that Karen Lund Page of Provo, Utah, has been suspended from the practice of law in Wyoming for failing to comply with Rule 10 of the Rules of the Wyoming Supreme Court for Continuing Legal Education.
The Rules of the Wyoming Supreme Court for Continuing Legal Education require each active attorney to complete a minimum of 15 hours of continuing legal education, including one hour of legal ethics, in each calendar year. Page failed to satisfy this requirement for 2012 and was assessed noncompliance penalties according to Rule 10 of the Rules of the Wyoming Supreme Court for Continuing Legal Education.
While Page eventually satisfied the requirement by completing the minimum number of continuing legal education hours, she failed to pay the noncompliance fees and was, therefore, suspended from the practice of law.
